We are seeking an experienced and hands-on Maintenance Manager to oversee all aspects of plant maintenance, including equipment reliability, building systems, grounds, and production processes. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team focused on ensuring safe, efficient, and continuous plant operations. This position plays a key role in driving process improvements, maintaining compliance with OSHA and regulatory standards, and supporting capital projects.
Key Responsibilities
- Lead and manage all maintenance activities to ensure optimal equipment performance and uptime.
- Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and increase production efficiency.
- Plan and coordinate plant layout changes, equipment installations, and process improvements.
- Oversee capital and expense budget projects to ensure cost-effective implementation.
- Maintain compliance with OSHA and all safety regulations while promoting a culture of safety throughout the plant.
- Build and manage relationships with contractors, vendors, and suppliers to ensure high-quality maintenance and project execution.
- Support engineering staff with training, resources, and tools to ensure successful maintenance operations.
- Collaborate with senior management and other departments to address operational issues and drive continuous improvement.
Qualifications
Associate degree in Engineering, Industrial Maintenance, or related field; equivalent experience considered.Minimum of 5 years of management experience in a manufacturing environment , preferably in the breader / batter protein industry .Strong working knowledge of ammonia and refrigeration systems , protein processing , and plant utilities.Hands-on mechanical and electrical troubleshooting experience.Proficiency with CAD software and PLC systems.Strong leadership and communication skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and shifting priorities.Computer proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Word.Work Environment and Physical Requirements
Ability to work in a production environment with varying temperatures (-40F to 110F).May require walking, standing, and lifting up to 40 lbs.Use of personal protective equipment, including safety glasses and hearing protection, is required.Primarily first shift (7 AM- 5 PM, Monday to Friday), with flexibility for occasional evenings or weekends.Compensation and Benefits
Salary range : $135,000 - $200,000 annually , with potential to reach up to $225,000 for top talent.Bonus potential : Up to 17% .Comprehensive benefits package and opportunities for career growth.
