Heat Tracing Designer , you'll play a key role in creating customized solutions for our customers, leveraging cutting-edge tools and collaborating with a high-performing engineering team. What You'll Do
Design heat tracing systems based on customer specifications to ensure performance, safety, and profitability.
Interpret customer drawings, specifications, and Thermon quotations to identify requirements.
Prepare detailed design deliverables : isometrics, wiring diagrams, BOMs, schedules, and location plans.
Use Thermon's proprietary design software (CompuTrace, VisiTrace, TSDS) and industry standards to create accurate designs.
Collaborate with project managers, other designers, and customers to ensure seamless execution.
Conduct site surveys and provide technical input for global and regional process improvements.
Review and approve drawings for accuracy and compliance with quality standards.
What We're Looking For
Education : Bachelor's in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering Technology preferred.
Experience : 3+ years in heat tracing design (or similar technical design experience).
Proficiency in AutoCAD and / or MicroStation; advanced MS Office skills.
Strong understanding of electricity (Ohm's Law, circuits), piping systems, and insulation.
Familiarity with P&IDs, IEEE 515, NEC, IEC standards.
Ability to manage multiple projects in a fast-paced environment with minimal supervision.
Excellent communication, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
