Administrative Clerk
We're seeking a welcoming and professional Administrative Clerk to be the friendly face and voice of our downtown Phoenix office. In this vital role, you'll oversee the Maricopa County Human Services Department's main office reception area and serve as the first point of contact for community members and program participants who call or visit. You'll also provide high-level and often complex administrative support to the Assistant Directors, Director, staff, and the public. We Require :
Six months of receptionist or administrative experienceHigh school diploma or GEDA combination of post-secondary education and / or job-related experience may substitute for the minimum qualifications on a year-for-year basisOther Requirements :
Upon hire, a background investigation and fingerprint identification are performed to secure a Level 1 Fingerprint Clearance CardAbility to read, write, and speak EnglishWe Also Value :

Greets, assists, and directs all visitors courteously and with respect. Assure all visitors sign inAnswers multi-line telephone promptly, courteously, and professionally; directs or transfers the caller to the appropriate employee or program personnelRoutes incoming and outgoing mailMaintains schedule of conference rooms and car reservations for staff through Microsoft Outlook; responds to requests timelyPerform clerical and administrative duties, and maintain files as needed, including updating organizational charts, program rosters, and documents assignedAssists staff with administrative duties, including special projects, as directed by supervisor or department leadershipManage Director and Deputy Director calendarsHelp prepare / write reports, presentations, and program correspondenceProvide support and coordination for internal teams, committees, and workgroupsManage office suppliesWorking Conditions :
