Hospitality Building Services is actively seeking a detail-driven Bid Estimator - Commercial Construction to join our team in Charleston, SC. This full-time, on-site position plays a critical role in our preconstruction process-responsible for compiling accurate estimates and proposals for commercial and hospitality projects. The ideal candidate thrives in high-pressure environments, demonstrates strong analytical and communication skills, and enjoys collaborating with vendors, subcontractors, and project teams to ensure accurate and competitive bidding.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare complete and detailed estimates and proposals for commercial and hospitality construction projects
• Conduct project turnover meetings with the project management team following contract awards
• Analyze drawings, specifications, and proposals to understand project requirements
• Visit job sites to support estimate accuracy when necessary
• Forecast labor, material, and time requirements for each project
• Conduct risk assessments and cost-benefit analysis
• Review subcontractor and vendor bids for scope coverage and accuracy
• Build and maintain relationships with key suppliers and subcontractors
• Prepare and maintain supplier / subcontractor directories
• Present cost estimates and expenditure reports to upper management
• Coordinate multiple bids simultaneously under tight deadlines
• Generate clear, concise bid documentation and proposal packages
