SUMMARY

This position plans and completes civil design for site / land projects with little or little to no supervision from the Engineer of Record.

A TYPICAL DAY MIGHT INCLUDE

Our exciting and entrepreneurial culture will require you to think creatively, solve problems and meet the needs of our clients daily. A typical day might include the following :

• Independently performs CAD Design assignments with clear and specified objectives and involving conventional types of plans, surveys, investigations, structures or equipment.
• Work is reviewed for the application of sound professional judgment.
• Assist with establishing Design budgets based on work required
• Apply manpower needs for deadlines and budgets
• Determine and schedule project deadlines
• Assist with change order / revision documentation on plan sets
• Assist in implementing Cad Standards. I.e. Templates, Blocks, Details, Civil 3D Style Creation and Standards Manual
• Decision making and problem-solving
• Demonstrates advanced technical expertise
• Performs design calculations, prepares equipment or material specifications, and provides direction to technical support or drafting personnel
• Being familiar with Agency Submittals / Approvals as it applies to the project.
• Using general mathematical skills to manipulate standard design formulas.
• Interacting with internal project team members.
• Recognizes discrepancies in results and follows operations through a series of related detailed steps or processes.
• May exercise judgment in making selections and the adoption of alternatives.
