As a Field Service Manager, you will be responsible for overseeing of day-to-day operations in the Field Service Department in your assigned area. In this role, you will be responsible for managing a technician team that consists of technicians and installers with varying level of competencies, mostly in the RF field. This position requires extensive interaction with multiple customer organizations, product vendors and manufactures, and with senior management of the company and strong RF and LMR knowledge.

Responsibilities :

• Manage projects and service assignments as needed.
• Act as direct liaison between Field Service technicians and end customer.
• Work with customers to prepare quotes, bids, and schedules for completing installation and repair tasks.
• Assist with organizing and scheduling upcoming field work.
• Provides technical support in field operations.
• Checks functioning of newly installed equipment to evaluate system performance under actual operating conditions.
• Install, maintain and provide technical support and service of wireless communications equipment such as : UHF / VHF and 800 / 900 MHz analog and digital systems.
• Operate mobile, portable radio equipment, dispatch consoles, and microwave systems, using both conventional and trunked radio technologies.
• Diagnose, troubleshoot, repair, and resolve wireless communication equipment problems with customers in a positive and efficient manner.
• Provide hands-on and oversight of communications equipment and peripheral hardware installation such as base stations, repeaters, mobile devices, portable devices, wireless broadband devices, and cctv equipment. Analyze and comprehend diagnostic test results in order to repair and program radios and wireless equipment.
• Deliver and execute customer Functional Acceptance Test Plans (FATP), perform and document results of site surveys and assessments per defined customer requirements in pre-sales delivery and post installation.
• Make minor modifications to electronic circuitry per customer requests and / or deploy factory software / firmware updates.
• Handles training and coaching of field service technicians and installers.
• Some travel and on call maybe required.
• Help with other projects as assigned.
