Facilities Manager
Corporate Real Estate is seeking a Facilities Manager to serve Los Angeles International Airport (LAX). The Facilities Manager will assist the General Manager of Facilities Maintenance with the day-to-day operation of the newly modernized Terminal 2 and 3, as well as Delta's other leased facilities at LAX. The Facilities Maintenance team is charged with ensuring safe, clean, comfortable, and reliable facilities for all Delta Air Lines customers, employees and other airport stakeholders. The successful Facilities Manager candidate must exhibit a strong safety focus, problem-solving abilities, and a willingness to learn while adhering to Delta Air Lines employee standards and guidelines.
Primary Functions
- Serves as a liaison between CRE and all Delta Air Lines operational departments, for preventative, emergency and project-based facility needs.
- Coordinates and supervises repair, installation, modification, and preventative maintenance for proprietary systems within Delta's leasehold. Maintain effective oversight of contracted facilities maintenance personnel, subcontracted vendors, and suppliers.
- Reviews facilities performance metrics to ensure contract compliance, operational integrity and identify trends requiring action or to target continuous improvement efforts.
- Assists with monitoring and managing to annual facility maintenance budgets, development of scope, schedule and budgets for indefinite quantity work and capital projects as well as assuring timely completion of and reporting for airport or regulatory agency-mandated facility testing and associated activities.
- Builds and maintains effective working relationships with stakeholders, including Delta operational teams, tenant airlines, Los Angeles World Airports (LAWA), Los Angeles Building Services (LADBS) and Fire Department (LAFD), terminal concessionaires and others.
- Develops tactical plans that create a safety-conscious environment resulting in safety and wellbeing of Delta's employees, customers, and others.
- Limited travel may be necessary to complete projects and manage relationships external to LAX.
- Flexible working hours (weekends and off hours) will be required from time to time for adaptable support of 24x7 airport operations.
What You Need To Succeed (Minimum Qualifications)
Demonstrated record in facility operations and maintenance or similar technical field.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills (both written and oral).Ability to interact with others to approach issues with honesty, technical / operational understanding and diplomacy.Ability to read and interpret plans and specifications; understand mechanical / electrical / specialty systems design and operation.Ability to respond appropriately to competing deadlines and frequent changes in priorities and schedules.Computer skills including MS Office Suite (Word, Excel, PowerPoint). Experience with Maximo, FIXT or similar asset management and work order tracking systems is desirable.Demonstrates that privacy is a priority when handling personal data.Consistently prioritizes safety and security of self, others, and personal data.Embraces diverse people, thinking, and styles.Possesses a high school diploma, GED, or high school equivalency.Is at least 18 years of age and has authorization to work in the United States.What Will Give You A Competitive Edge (Preferred Qualifications)
