Head Underwriter (MCA)

A fast-growing MCA firm specializing in short-term funding solutions (120-180 day deals) is seeking an experienced Head Underwriter to lead its underwriting team. This is a high-impact leadership role for a sharp, decisive, and strategic professional who can drive results while maintaining quality and risk standards in a fast-paced environment.

The ideal candidate brings deep underwriting expertise, prior team management experience, and a strong grasp of risk profiles specific to short-term MCA deal structures.

Responsibilities Include :

• Leading a team of underwriters in reviewing merchant applications and financials
• Developing and enforcing underwriting guidelines and risk policies
• Approving high-ticket or complex deals and escalating as needed
• Collaborating with sales and collections to ensure efficient deal flow
• Monitoring deal performance and adjusting approval strategies accordingly
• Mentoring and training underwriters to meet performance and turnaround goals
