Bala Consulting Engineers is a 200-person engineering firm headquartered in Wayne, PA with offices in New York, Boston, Baltimore and Washington, DC. We seek a Mechanical Project Engineer for our New York City office and occasional remote work.

Key Responsibilities

• Concept selection and sizing of HVAC, ductwork and piping systems; calculation of heating / cooling loads, static pressure and pump head.
• Generation of schematic diagrams, flow diagrams and specification writing subject to review.
• Review of shop drawings and final disposition; conduct surveys and attend design development, construction and commissioning meetings.
• Maintain accurate design records and collaborate with clients, vendors and other disciplines.
• Assist in client proposals and proposal development.
