VP Engineering

Overview

Kody is scaling rapidly, and we're looking for an exceptional VP of Engineering to lead our technical organisation through the next phase of growth. As a key member of the executive team, you'll play a pivotal role in shaping our engineering strategy, culture, and execution. This is a role for someone who thrives in a high velocity, global and purpose driven environment.

What You'll Be Doing

• Lead the recruitment, development, and retention of a world‑class engineering team
• Setting and executing the engineering vision and technical direction in partnership with executive and product leadership
• Defining and delivering engineering strategy that enables scalable and secure growth of Kody's platform and services
• Drive engineering execution to ensure timely, high‑quality delivery across all teams
• Establish and monitor KPIs to track performance, code quality, system stability and deployment efficiency
• Promote a culture of feedback, mentorship and career development through structured reviews and ongoing coaching
• Collaborate closely with Product, Design, and Operations to align on priorities and roadmap planning
• Champion modern development practices including CI / CD, testing, observability, and agile methodologies
• Oversee architectural planning and ensure sound technical decision‑making across backend, frontend, and infrastructure
• Manage engineering budgets, headcount planning and resource allocation in alignment with company goals
• Advocate for engineering needs and priorities at the leadership level, balancing business goals and technical feasibility
• Maintain and evolve onboarding processes, documentation, and workflows to support rapid team scaling
• Embed data security, privacy and regulatory compliance into the engineering culture
