Market Operations Supervisor
Under the direction of the Market & Partnership Manager, the Market Operations Supervisor is responsible for planning, executing, managing, and analyzing rotating markets in the Public Market at Millcreek Common.

ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS :
Plan, direct, and coordinate the Public Market retail space and specialty market operations at Millcreek Common.Network and develop relationships with vendors and partners to produce public markets and programming at Millcreek Common's Public Market.Assist the Market & Partnership Manager with the drafting, review, and execution of market contracts.Ensure that vendors and partners meet market standards and compliance requirements.Ensure health and safety regulations are adhered to including certificates and registration renewals for markets and mercantile.Assist in coordinating the setup and teardown of market infrastructure, including tents, booths, signage, and utilities with the Community Life Department production team.Assist with the development and administration of the Public Market budget.Gather feedback from vendors, visitors, and staff to evaluate Public Market performance and identify areas for improvement; prepare evaluation reports for management review.Conduct data analysis to provide insights and recommendations.Support inventory management including tracking, organizing, and replenishing stock as needed.Provide cashiering support in the Public Market as needed.Coordinate public markets with Community Life Marketing, Event, and Recreation Managers.Research and solicit sponsorships for City events and programs, including cultivating sponsor relationships, drafting sponsor welcome letters, tracking payments, welcoming sponsors at events, curating annual sponsorship decks, scheduling sponsorship season recap meetings and sponsor recognition, and managing communications with sponsors throughout the year.Supervise market employees, vendors, and volunteers, when necessary.Perform other duties as assigned.MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :
Education and Experience : a. Bachelor's Degree from a regionally accredited college or university in business administration, operations management, finance, or closely related field preferred. b. At least two (2) years' supervisory experience. c. At least two (2) years' retail experience.Special Qualifications : a. Valid Utah Class D Driver's License required.Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities : a. Excellent written and oral communication skills. b. Interpersonal skills to maintain effective and professional working relationships with employees, contractors, other departments, and the public. c. Ability to make decisions and use good judgment. d. Skill in diplomacy and cooperative problem solving. e. Excellent organizational skills. f. Ability to operate a personal computer, Microsoft Office products, Thrive and Clover POS systems, internet applications, and learn new software programs. g. Knowledge of modern office practices and procedures including grammar, spelling, and punctuation; modern filing systems, telephone etiquette, and various office machines. h. Ability to attain optimal performance using sound principles of team leadership and collaboration. i. Ability to promote a high level of customer service and good public relations. j. Ability to work on several projects or issues simultaneously.WORKING CONDITIONS :
Environment : Work is performed primarily in a rotating retail market setting.Physical : Incumbent should be able to lift 25 lbs. and handle more weight with the assistance of logistics equipment. Primary functions require sufficient physical ability and mobility to work in a retail setting; to stand or sit for prolonged periods of time; to occasionally stoop, bend, kneel, crouch, reach, and twist; to lift, carry, push, and / or pull light to moderate amounts of weight; to operate office equipment requiring repetitive hand movement and fine coordination; and to verbally communicate to exchange information.Vision : See in the normal visual range with or without correction.Hearing : Hear in the normal audio range with or without correction.Attendance / Work Schedule : Millcreek City Hall and Millcreek Common are the employee's headquarters and primary location for work. The employee is expected to report to and maintain contact with city personnel during normal business hours Monday through Friday. Schedule will be determined by Public Market hours and the employee's supervisor.
