POSITION SUMMARY :

The Senior Director of Creative and Brand mentors the creative team to ensure that all phases of the creative design process meet each brand’s expectations;

this includes concept development, email layout and on figure / off figure photography direction, video & social media content.

The Sr. Director of Creative and Brand must be able to interpret and transform customer information into creative assets that emotionally connect with each brand while conveying product attributes while maintaining a highly elevated taste level.

Experience in the luxury market preferred.

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES :

  • Manage the overall creative concepts for the brands utilizing customer research, brand positioning and input from VP of creative & design to develop innovative messages that clearly articulate the brand voice and product attributes to the customer.
  • communicate the team’s creative vision to cross-functional partners
  • Work closely with the VP of creative& design to ensure the creative assets align to the collection strategies & requirements to drive sales.
  • Manage the brand creative teams to execute the creative concepts, layout designs and photography for omni channels in an innovative, modern way that is consistent and unique to the brand.
  • Strategize best practices for the entire creative team.
  • Design creative messaging for all digital initiatives including website updates, emails, social media banner ads, etc. with ability to interpret and transform brand positioning and print visuals into a digital platform.
  • Manages & works directly on all stages of planning and art direction of on figure / off figure photography in partnership with the senior creative manager, producer, copy writer & graphic designers.

This includes talent selection, set selection and on-location shoot management in partnership with the photo production team.

  • Ensure the creative and product copy convey a cohesive message that will drive sales.
  • Lead the Photo Production teams to ensure proper follow-through of creative concept, talent selection, budget, and timeliness.
  • Responsible for maintaining the total creative budget and aligning on yearly and quarterly goals with the VP of creative & design
  • Collaborate with brand marketing on presenting digital social content strategies to VP of Creative and Design.
  • Participate with design, marketing & merchandising teams to continue and enhance processes for the creative presentation of the brand.
  • Partner with Digital team on timely deliverables for online assets and paid marketing ads
  • Cultivate talent & mentor direct reports by further elevating their conceptual development, photography direction, design, and creative copywriting skills conduct timely coaching sessions to provide feedback regarding growth & development for next level opportunities
  • Clearly communicate expectations, and ensure the team has all tools needed to deliver on their responsibilities

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS :

  • Bachelor’s Degree (BA or BFA) is required.
  • 12+ years of experience in creating exceptional commercial creative content across design, photography, copy and creative management.

Some prior editorial experience is a plus.

  • 10+ years of management experience building, leading and guiding creative teams.
  • Strong conceptual thinker with comprehensive experience in digital creative execution in DTC with high end experience.
  • Proficient in Desktop Publishing file formats in creative suite.
  • Hands-on experience directing digital on / off figure fashion photography with an editorial lens.
  • Excellent organization skills and attention to detail
  • An innovator who can identify need for, and develop, practical processes and solutions that facilitate organizational effectiveness and efficiency
  • Ability to work under tight deadlines and plan, organize and carry out multiple initiatives
  • Results-oriented, high-energy leader with the vision and management skills required to influence, direct, and motivate both direct and indirect teams
  • Team-oriented, collaborative and has strong interpersonal relationship skills at all levels, including executive leadership, management, and associates
  • Approaches their role with a high degree of honesty, loyalty and integrity and adheres to high ethical standards through leading by example
  • Ability to travel both domestically and internationally
