The BMS Capital Solutions and Advisory business focuses on private capital raising, M&A, ILS and non-core liability management and takes a holistic approach to strategic and capital advisory.

We are seeking an experienced Investment Banking Associate to join the BMS Capital Solutions and Advisory team. Our associate work closely with the team preparing, analysing, and executing transactions within the insurance & reinsurance market. The successful candidate will be a key member of the team and gain exposure to a wide range of transactions, including capital raising, Insurtech advisory services, M&A, and Insurance-Linked Securities ("ILS"). This is an in-office role.

In addition to execution responsibilities, our associate will manage deal flow and act as a key point of contact for our clients. Associates have significant exposure to senior bankers and are not only involved in all stages of a transaction but also have an integral role in delivery for our clients and prospects.

Primary Responsibilities :

• Develop investor presentations and origination materials.
• Conduct in-depth research, company and industry diligence and other analysis in the support of deal execution and origination.
• Support team members in developing new business ideas, strategies, or structuring scenarios (inclusive of equity, debt, M&A and / or reinsurance) to help the firm's corporate and sponsor clients achieve their financial and strategic objectives.
• Prepare company valuations using various methodologies and build detailed financial models to evaluate performance under various operating scenarios and capital structures.
• Coordinate with client teams, BMS analytics, legal firms and other service providers to deliver advisory solutions, capital raising and ILS solutions such as reinsurance sidecars and catastrophe bonds.
• Travel, participate and lead certain discussions with current and prospective clients.
• Review and draft legal documents such as information memorandums, offering circulars and other related transaction documentation.
• Assist in other business development efforts such maintaining market updates, developing conference materials and research publications.
• Leverage Bloomberg, S&P Capital IQ and other modelling platforms to create analysis and market intelligence.

The annual base salary range provided for this position is a nationwide marker range and represents a broad range of salaries for this role across the country. The actual salary advanced to the desired candidate will be based on a number of factors, including geographic location and the skills, education, training, credentials, and experience of the desired candidate.
