We are seeking an experienced Preconstruction Manager to join a growing construction team in Charlotte, NC. This role is ideal for a seasoned construction professional with a strong background in preconstruction planning, estimating, and project management. The Senior Preconstruction Manager will play a critical role in shaping projects from concept through bid, ensuring accuracy, efficiency, and successful execution.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead preconstruction efforts for commercial, multifamily, and institutional projects.
- Develop accurate cost estimates, budgets, and detailed material takeoffs.
- Collaborate closely with project teams, architects, engineers, and subcontractors to define project scope and requirements.
- Assist in bid preparation, proposal development, and client presentations.
- Conduct preconstruction meetings and provide strategic guidance to support project planning and execution.
- Ensure all preconstruction deliverables align with quality standards, budget expectations, and project schedules.
- Mentor and guide team members in preconstruction best practices and processes.
Qualifications :
Minimum of 4 years of experience in construction preconstruction or estimating roles.Proven experience managing large-scale commercial, multifamily, or institutional projects.Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and cost estimating.Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational skills.Proficiency with construction estimating software (e.g., ProEst, Sage, or equivalent).
