Homespring is growing and has an immediate opening for an experienced Compliance Specialist located in San Antonio, Texas!

Candidate must have at least 2 years of experience working with Low Income Housing Tax Credit (LIHTC), City / State HOME Funds, Project Based Section 8 and Bond properties.
Responsibilities will include :
- Responsible for conducting business in accordance with company policies and procedures, Fair Housing, Americans with Disabilities Act, and all other laws pertaining to apartments.
- Responsible for ensuring the privacy and rights of owners and residents are protected at all times, provides clerical support to process the obligations of all entities, and monitors all aspects of compliance by performing the following duties.
- Oversees and monitors compliance files per properties portfolio.
- Collects monthly unit status reports.
- Updates in CMTS on a monthly and quarterly basis.
- Ensures new rules and policies are being followed.
- Trains all new office staff members on their specific programs.
- Reports for TDHCA file audits at the property.
- Completes onsite trainings when requested.
- Assists with property projects involving residents files including recertification, renewals, and pre-file audit reviews.
- Conducts workshops or hands on training.
- Performs any additional duties as deemed appropriate by the Director of Compliance.
