Job descriptionUT Health Tyler, the flagship hospital of the system, has 502 licensed beds specializing in advanced acute care medicine. Our hospital includes a 24-hour ER with Level 1 trauma center, a comprehensive stroke center, more than 500 physicians and a full complement of subspecialty groups. Learn About a Day in the Life of a Medical Assistant : Perform administrative and certain clinical duties under the direction of a physician. Administrative duties may include scheduling appointments, maintaining medical records, billing, and coding information for insurance purposes. Clinical duties may include rooming patients, taking and recording vital signs and medical histories, preparing patients for examination, drawing blood, and administering medications as directed by physician. High School Diploma or equivalent Current licensure as a Certified Clinical Medical Assistant or Registered Medical Assistant (AMT / AAH or ARMA) 6 months’ medical clinic experience preferred BLS certification within 30 days of hire
