State Licensed Assistant General Counsel

A company is looking for an Assistant General Counsel.

Key Responsibilities

Serve as a versatile legal advisor across business units, addressing commercial, product, compliance, and corporate needs

Draft, review, and negotiate various agreements including customer, vendor, and partnership contracts

Provide guidance on financial technology law, privacy, IP, and corporate governance, while supporting product development and compliance

Required Qualifications

J.D. from an accredited U.S. law school and active membership in at least one state bar

4-7 years of legal experience, preferably with a mix of law firm and in-house practice

Broad-based legal experience with the ability to identify issues in commercial contracts, corporate, employment, and regulatory areas

Experience in fintech or highly regulated industries is strongly preferred

Strong judgment and business sense, with the ability to balance legal risk and business priorities
