Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant – Outpatient Medical Oncology, Thoracic Head and Neck

As an Advanced Practice Provider, you'll play an integral role in our inpatient and ambulatory care teams by providing high-quality, cost-effective care to patients.

We are seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to :

• Work collaboratively within a multidisciplinary health team to provide comprehensive care to cancer patients in active treatment or active surveillance, in a primarily outpatient setting.
• Provide follow up and urgent appointments at University Hospital and Eastpark Medical Center.
• Perform routine clinical activities independently as outlined in practice agreements / scope of practice including, but not limited to, the following : clearance assessment for cancer treatment; symptom assessment, evaluation, and management; assessing cancer patients on clinical trials; as well as obtain chemotherapy signing privileges.

Education : Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner :

Master's or Doctorate's degree from accredited Nursing Program.

If Physician Assistant :

Bachelor's or Master's degree from accredited PA Program.

Licenses and Certifications :

Minimum -

If Nurse Practitioner : Active RN and APNP license in State of Wisconsin ANDactive board certification as a NP in Adult; Adult / Gerontology Primary Care, Adult / Gerontology Acute Care.

If Physician Assistant : Active PA license in State of Wisconsin ANDactive PA board certification.

All Nurse Practitioner and Physician Assistant applicants must have : Active DEA license or ability to apply for such license prior to or upon hire ANDCPR certification and advanced life support certifications if relevant to practice area (ACLS, PALS, NRP).
