Pressure Vessel Engineer – Kennerdell, PA
Salary : $130K + Competitive Benefits (Health, PTO, 401k)
Join a leading engineering team as a Pressure Vessel Engineer in Kennerdell, PA. This hands-on role focuses on the design, drafting, and engineering of pressure vessels and aboveground storage tanks in compliance with ASME, API, AWWA, and NFPA standards.
Key Responsibilities :
Perform and review engineering calculations for pressure vessels and storage tanks
Create design drawings, 3D models, and fabrication packages using AutoCAD and Inventor
Develop and review fabrication procedures to ensure code and spec compliance
Provide technical guidance to engineers, drafters, and fabrication teams
Interface with clients, inspectors, and vendors to ensure accuracy and compliance
Support field crews with design clarifications and troubleshooting
Stay current with industry codes and best practices
Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field (required)
PE license preferred
5+ years of experience in pressure vessel or tank design
Strong knowledge of ASME Section VIII, API 650 / 653 / 620, AWWA D100, NFPA
Proficient in AutoCAD, Inventor, and MathCAD (or equivalent)
Excellent analytical and communication skills
Ability to work independently and collaboratively
Preferred Attributes :
Experience with 3D CAD workflows, TechnoSoft, and parametric design tools
Familiarity with fabrication processes and shop operations
Detail-oriented with a commitment to code-compliant design
