The contributions of the Marketing & Social Media Specialist will be essential in enhancing our outreach efforts, promoting our services, and supporting organizational objectives. This position reports to the Chief Executive Officer and will spearhead the development of a comprehensive community outreach calendar, plan, and attend various outreach events such as trade shows, community festivals, and health fairs to promote our services and programs effectively.
Responsibilities
Create culturally relevant SM content for each department and platform.
Develop community outreach calendar of events.
Attend community outreach events, trade shows, community festivals, health fairs, etc., within our service area and promote our services and programs.
Work with department heads to develop and create promotional materials and campaigns designed to meet revenue goals.
Overall administration of the DS website and SM platforms, create PowerPoint presentations, short videos, and other print / digital collateral that may be distributed internally or externally.
Develop and monitor metrics for SM platforms and website including reach, impressions, engagement, views, click-through, conversion, etc.
May perform duties and special projects.
Manage media contact list and create and distribute press releases.
May support the Development Committee meetings, including coordinating meeting dates, preparing handouts and presentations, taking and distributing minutes.
Occasional weekends required for special events.
Requirements
2 years related experience.
Degree in Marketing, Communication, or a related field is a plus.
Strong computer skills using Adobe Creative Cloud and Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook).
Experience with SM platforms and marketing platforms.
Superior communication skills; strong ability to develop written correspondences and interact with individuals at every level of the organization.
Superior organizational skills, detail-oriented with an incredible talent to follow through on assignments in a timely manner.
Ability to work collaboratively across the organization to advance initiatives.
Ability to work with culturally diverse populations and varied socio-economic levels.
Vehicle with valid California drivers license and auto insurance.
