Location : Rothsay, WA, AU, 6620 About the Role

We are currently seeking an experienced Assistant Village Manager with Chef qualification and experience to join the leadership team at one of our Easternwell camps - Silverlake Village in Rothsay WA.

Rothsay has a rich mining history dating back to the discovery of gold in 1894.

This critical role will work closely with the Village Manager covering areas relating to commercial cooking for village residents and all-round housekeeping, administration works.

To be successful you will need to have strong leadership attributes as well as providing chef duties in the village kitchen.

• The Assistant Village Manager will work 2 weeks on and 1 week off roster.
• Point of hire is Perth with flight times being 1.5 hours
• Travel, meals, uniforms and accommodation is provided
• The camp site is only 5 minutes drive from the airport

What this role involves :

• Assisting the Village Manager with operating budgets and P&L
• Preparing, cooking, and presenting meals, baking of breads and cooking pastries, preparing crib meals, including salads and meats;
• Carrying out administrative duties for the project as required
• Assisting with managing recruitment requirements and training of employees
• Ensuring the delivery of exceptional customer services
• Accommodation reservations systems experience
• Assisting with ordering stock levels for the kitchen and camp site
• Effective written and verbal communication
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite
• Accommodation reservations systems experience

• Fully Covid-19 vaccinated certificate
• Commercial Cookery Certification
• Able to pass a medical including a Drug and Alcohol test
• National Police Clearance (NPC) or the ability to obtain a current NPC
• Ability to work in varying degrees of heat, cold, humidity & inclement weather
