Position overview :
The Loan Servicing & Operations Manager will lead the launch and ongoing development of Brick City Capital's in-house servicing platform. This role will be instrumental in implementing our Q4 2025 initiative to transition loan servicing operations from external parties to an internally managed, borrower-first experience.
This individual will be responsible for building the department's operational backbone - overseeing servicing tasks, coordinating third-party vendors, managing borrower communications, and maintaining investor reporting standards.
You'll be the key driver in turning servicing into a profit center and a strategic function, helping Brick City Capital retain customer relationships, generate repeat business, and deliver top-tier experiences to both borrowers and note buyers.
The anticipated annual base cash compensation for this role is $70,000 - $80,000 per year.
This role also has a variable cash compensation component, making the annual, total on-target cash compensation $100k+.
What you will do :
- Servicing department buildout
Design and implement scalable servicing operations tailored to DSCR and business-purpose loan portfolios.
Collaborate cross-functionally to transition note buyers to in-house servicingOnboard and manage vendor relationships for payment processing, escrow administration, collections, and more.Develop and own SOPs for servicing workflows including loan onboarding, escrow, payoffs, and investor remittance.Customer service & borrower retentionServe as the primary point of contact for borrower servicing inquiries and escalations.
Train future team members on servicing agreements, loan documents, and customer engagement.Establish and manage processes for proactive borrower outreach - eg post-payment reserve depletion and at 3+ year intervals for repeat loan opportunities.Vendor & technology managementSelect and implement third-party vendors for payment processing, escrow (tax & insurance), and collections.
Ensure vendor contracts cover all servicing obligations (eg flood insurance verification, escrow analysis, etc.)Oversee technology integration between LOS, CRM (Salesforce), and servicing systems.Compliance, legal, & oversightMaintain regulatory compliance across all servicing activities, including bankruptcy and foreclosure workflows.
Coordinate with legal and local counsel on sensitive foreclosure / REO matters and borrower protection protocols.Investor reporting & remittanceDesign and deliver standardized monthly reports and fund remittances to note buyers.
Establish a framework for ad-hoc reporting requests and determine fee structure for customizations.Support internal stakeholders with servicing performance analytics.Collections & payoff processingOversee early-stage collections (up to 60 days delinquent), leveraging broker relationships to drive resolution.
Create escalation and default prevention processes in partnership with vendors.Ensure payoff quotes, lien releases, and closing documentation are accurate and completed timely.Team leadership & growthLead day-to-day servicing operations as the department's founding team member.
Collaborate with Asset Management leadership to scale the team as the portfolio grows.Support hiring, onboarding, and training of future servicing staff.What you will bring to the table :

5+ years of experience in mortgage servicing, ideally in DSCR, non-QM, or business-purpose lending.5+ years of client / customer facing role, with high focus on deescalation of matters.Demonstrated ability to build servicing functions and to manage vendor-driven servicing models.In-depth knowledge of escrow, collections, payoff, and investor remittance workflows.Strong understanding of servicing contracts, borrower documentation, and investor agreements.Experience managing servicing tech stack and integrating with CRM / LOS systems.Proven leadership, project management, and customer service skills.Familiarity with key servicing vendors such as FCI, Petra, Lereta, Allied, CoreLogic, etc. is highly preferred.What we bring to the table :
