Position Overview

We're seeking a strategic communications professional to drive PR initiatives that elevate our brand presence and establish industry authority within the biosciences arena. This role demands a dynamic individual who excels at securing meaningful media coverage, building journalist relationships, and crafting narratives that resonate across traditional and digital channels.

Compensation : $85,000 - $105,000 annually

Type : Direct Hire

Hours : M-F 8-5

Primary Responsibilities

Design and implement targeted outreach campaigns for corporate announcements, innovation updates, and executive positioning.

Build and nurture a robust network of media contacts including journalists, editorial teams, and industry influencers.

Track media coverage and sentiment analysis to guide reputation management strategies.

Direct comprehensive PR campaigns from concept through measurement and reporting.

Coordinate resources and timelines while maintaining budget accountability.

Establish and monitor performance benchmarks including media reach, messaging effectiveness, competitive visibility, audience sentiment, and website engagement.

Required Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Communications, Public Relations, Journalism, Marketing, or related discipline.

3-5 years of progressive PR and communications experience with demonstrated campaign success.

Proven track record building media connections and generating coverage across diverse platforms (broadcast, print, digital, social).

Superior writing ability across formats including announcements, pitches, articles, and presentations with meticulous attention to detail.

Established relationships with media professionals and history of successful placements.

Social media proficiency and understanding of digital engagement strategies.

Experience with media intelligence platforms (Cision, Meltwater, Muckrack, or comparable tools); familiarity with social analytics tools and Google Analytics preferred.

Availability for business travel (up to 25%).
