Description

Job Summary : Researches, designs and develops, various types of HVAC equipment,Products and systems.

Essential Responsibilities / Activities :

• Uses computer design software (CAD) to develop models and drawings.
• Generate conceptual and preliminary drawings to be used for development of product.
• Maintain existing engineering records and designs.
• Assess engineering designs and prototypes to determine issues or risks.
• Estimate cost impact for new designs.
• Develop testing prototypes.
• Keeps up with the processing of orders in house (SPAS).
• Will be expected to handle multiple tasks simultaneously under the guidance of more experienced engineers and / or Management.
• Confers with engineering management to complete assigned projects.
• Requires training on multiple engineering topics specific to AAON and HVAC design / function.
• Collaborates with Engineers, management, and other creative departments to determine design solutions.
• Provides complete bill of material by defining when, where, and why parts are used.
• Maintains and builds professional and technical knowledge by attending educational workshops, reviewing professional publications, or participating in professional societies.
• Travels, when necessary, for field issues or product development at other AAON plants.

Education and Experience Requirements :

Degree(s) : ABET Accredited Bachelor's degree in Engineering or technical experience in the field of HVAC&R
