Executive Director
Oak Street Health, a CVS Health Company, is seeking a dynamic and mission-driven Executive Director to lead operations across approximately seven primary care clinics and the community outreach team in the New England region. This Executive Director, Oak Street Health Regional Leader will be responsible for driving clinical, operational, and financial performance while fostering a culture of innovation, collaboration, and community engagement.
Major responsibilities include overseeing day-to-day operations for ~7 clinics and a team of approximately 200 colleagues, ensuring high performance and alignment with Oak Street Health's mission. The role also involves owning full P&L responsibility, driving profitability while maintaining high standards of care and service. The candidate must consistently exceed clinical quality metrics, patient acquisition goals, and financial targets.
Additionally, the Executive Director will build strategic partnerships with local healthcare providers, health plans, insurance agencies, and community organizations to accelerate growth and improve outcomes. They will serve as a visible and trusted leader in the community, cultivating relationships with key stakeholders and organizations. The role also includes partnering with Medical Directors to foster a collaborative, high-performing provider environment focused on delivering exceptional patient care.
The candidate will contribute to the development and execution of Oak Street Health's top strategic priorities, lead the successful launch of new clinic locations in the region, and share best practices and collaborate with peers across markets to drive enterprise-wide success. The Executive Director must embody and promote Oak Street Health's mission-driven, patient-first culture.
Qualifications include 10+ years of experience in healthcare provider operations, including leadership roles in physician group management, health plan operations, or clinic administration. The candidate must have a proven track record of leading high-performing, cross-functional teams, strong business acumen with experience managing P&L and driving growth, and demonstrated ability to innovate and implement change in complex environments. Exceptional communication, relationship-building, and leadership skills are also required, along with a growth mindset and a passion for continuous improvement. The candidate must be willing to travel regularly to all clinics within the region (CT & RI) and must live in the region or within driving distance.
Anticipated weekly hours are 40, and the time type is full time. The typical pay range for this role is $131,500.00 - $303,195.00. This pay range represents the base hourly rate or base annual full-time salary for all positions in the job grade within which this position falls. The actual base salary offer will depend on a variety of factors including experience, education, geography, and other relevant factors.
