Store is closed Easter, Memorial Day, Labor Day, Martin Luther King Jr Day, Fourth of July, Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve, and Christmas Day.

General Purpose of Position : As part of the management team, a Shift Leader works directly with the Managers and Owner to ensure the day-to-day management and operations expectations of the retail store are being met.  A Shift Leader must have the ability to make informed decisions, solve problems in a critical and diligent manner, and effectively manage the store when upper management or Owner is not present.

Responsibilities / Duties

• Responsible for ensuring the highest level of efficiency and organization amongst all store processes and procedures.
• Assists with orientation, training, coaching, and developing team members to understand and execute operational expectations.
• Responsible for the execution and organization of all paperwork relating to store operations and procedures.
• Oversees compliance of team members with established company policies and standards.
• Maintains store appearance and product presentation to company standards.
• Upholds specific department goals, cleanliness, organization, aesthetic appeal, and inventory management.
• Provides support to team members during peak periods or when scheduling conflicts arise.
• Processes sales transactions, returns, and special orders, and ensures that all related documentation is accurate and complete.
• Ensures safekeeping of all property.
• Works to prevent damage and theft of merchandise.
• Assists in management of sales floor and staff.
• Keeps the management team and owner well informed of activities and significant issues.
