EP Cardiology APP - Mease Countryside Hospital, Safety Harbor, Florida

Overview

BayCare Medical Group is seeking an experienced Advanced Practice Provider APRN / PA to join the cardiology team in Safety Harbor, FL. The Electrophysiology Advanced Practice Provider (APP) works collaboratively with electrophysiologists, cardiologists, and the broader cardiovascular team to deliver high-quality, patient-centered care for patients with cardiac arrhythmias and devices. The APP provides both inpatient and outpatient services, including evaluation, diagnosis, management, and follow-up of patients with electrophysiologic conditions.

Responsibilities

• Perform comprehensive and problem-focused histories and physical exams related to electrophysiology.
• Manage patients with arrhythmias, syncope, palpitations, and cardiac implantable electronic devices (CIEDs), including pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders.
• Interpret diagnostic studies, including ECGs, Holter / event monitors, and device interrogations.
• Conduct pre- and post-procedural assessments for EP procedures (e.g., ablations, device implants).
• Prescribe medications and manage antiarrhythmic therapy under collaborative practice agreements.
• Independently interrogate and reprogram pacemakers, ICDs, and loop recorders.
• Monitor and interpret remote device transmissions and troubleshoot alerts.
• Coordinate follow-up for device patients per guidelines and device clinic protocol.
