POSITION SUMMARY :
Mecklenburg County Park & Recreation is excited to add a Maintenance & Operations Coordinator to our Park Operations Division. This position will lead our Playground installation and repair team, which serves all park and recreation facilities throughout Mecklenburg County. This includes but is not limited to supporting repairs and maintenance of existing playground structures, installation of new structures, and inspections. The incumbent may also participate in additional related sitework and upkeep around our playgrounds ensuring all park amenities are safe and accessible for our community. The successful candidate will have experience with playground repairs and installations as well as experience operating heavy equipment, such as skid steers, loaders, and concrete mixer. This full-time role will typically work Monday through Friday, 6 : 00am to 2 : 30pm, but may be required to work weekends as needed and based on business needs.

Experience : Minimum of four (4) years of specialized maintenance experience related to assigned area
Education : High School Diploma or equivalent

Licenses / Certifications : Requires a valid North Carolina or South Carolina Driver's License and County Driving Privileges; Depending on area of assignment, may require a Class A or Class B CDL; One or more of the following licensures related to job; NC Electrical, NC Plumbing, NC Locksmithing, CPSI Playgrounds, Certified Arborist, HVAC, CPO, Class A CDL, and / or licensure in applicable trade
