Job descriptionProvide customer service to clients by carrying out security-related procedures, following site-specific policies, and participating in emergency response activities when appropriate. Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, maintaining professional conduct at all times. Conduct regular and random patrols within the location and its perimeter to help to deter unauthorized activity and / or disturbances. Monitor the environment and report any security-related concerns, unusual activity, or maintenance needs to the appropriate personnel. Support access control measures by verifying identification and authorizations as required by site protocols. Complete required documentation and incident reports accurately and in a timely manner. Collaborate with Allied Universal management and site staff to address ongoing security-related needs and concerns specific to the location. Possess at least six months of security-related experience. Provide proof of a high school diploma or General Education Diploma. Access control and / or badge experience is preferred. A valid guard card or security license is preferred. Be at least 18 years of age for unarmed roles; 21+ years of age for armed roles. Possess a high school diploma or equivalent. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws. Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws. As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law. Licensing requirements are subject to state and / or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment. A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
Security Officer - Government Facility - Full Time
As a Security Officer in Brooklyn, NY, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Government, and more. As a Security Officer with Allied Universal, you will patrol government locations and monitor assigned areas to help to deter security-related incidents. Your presence and attention to detail will help create a welcoming environment for all individuals on site. You will conduct routine patrols, remain visible, and deliver exceptional customer service and communication while responding to situations as needed.
