Income Tax Manager

Candidates must be authorized to work in the United States without the need for current or future visa sponsorship. The principal purpose of Income Tax Manager is to prepare income tax compliance, research income tax issues to minimize the tax we have to pay, efficiently manage income tax audits and reduce risk associated with the company's income tax positions. The Income Tax Manager will have a significant impact on our calculation and recording of income taxes for financial statement purposes.

Principal Duties And Responsibilities

• Manage income tax compliance including returns, quarterly estimated payments, annual extension payments and monthly account reconciliations.
• Manage quarterly income tax provision process.
• Draft 10-K and 10-Q tax footnotes and disclosure.
• Manage tax depreciation calculations and analytics.
• Monitor effective tax rate and impacts on a quarterly basis for financial reporting, including preparing supporting documents for use with external auditors to support income tax provision.
• Must be able to understand facts without much guidance and recognize issues and opportunities. Process improvements and planning opportunities should also be recognized, brought to management's attention, then develop plans to execute.
• Manage income tax audits from beginning to end. Must be able to clearly explain facts to auditors. Must be able to use creativity to develop new ways to make case when the initial approach does not work. Must be innovative in addressing problems.
• Maintain internal controls as required under Sarbanes Oxley.
• Initiate the preparation of the income tax provision, income tax payments & income tax returns.
• Must have a strong understanding of tax law and compliance software.
• Stay abreast of current tax law changes and increase tax knowledge through continuing education and training.
