Overview :
The Site Finance Manager is responsible for leading financial operations at the facility, ensuring accuracy and efficiency across accounting, budgeting, forecasting, and reporting functions. This role provides strategic financial insights to both site and corporate leadership to support data-driven decisions in operations, sales, and planning. The position also includes direct oversight of the local finance team.
Key Responsibilities :
The essential duties of this role include, but are not limited to :
Lead and develop a high-performing finance team, fostering growth in technical and leadership capabilities
Coordinate the preparation of site-level budgets and financial forecasts
Establish and maintain cost tracking systems for production and inventory activities
Analyze operational costs and collaborate with site leadership to identify and implement cost optimization strategies
Manage fixed asset processes including capitalization, transfers, disposals, and audits; support capital planning initiatives
Ensure inventory accuracy through oversight of cycle counts and reconciliation processes
Oversee general ledger activity, month-end close procedures, and preparation of financial statements
Review and validate coding of purchase orders and invoices; liaise with accounts payable for timely processing
Evaluate and refine accounting procedures to improve efficiency and compliance
Support product costing and bill of materials setup for new items
Present monthly financial performance to executive leadership
Collaborate with centralized cost accounting teams to deliver key performance metrics for operational review
Perform additional duties as assigned
Qualifications
Required Education & Experience :
Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field
Minimum 5 years of experience in cost accounting or financial analysis within a manufacturing or production environment
At least 2 years of experience managing or supervising accounting personnel
Proficiency in Excel and other financial analysis tools
Strong analytical skills with the ability to interpret complex financial data and communicate insights effectively
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills across all organizational levels
High attention to detail and commitment to accuracy
Experience with enterprise resource planning (ERP) systems, preferably SAP
Solid understanding of accounting standards and financial reporting principles
Proven leadership and problem-solving abilities
Preferred Qualifications :
Prior experience in a senior finance or controller role
Background in cost accounting within consumer goods, food production, or retail sectors
CPA certification
Experience in business operations or cross-functional leadership
Pay Details : $110,000.00 to $140,000.00 per year
