General Summary
Under the supervision of a registered nurse, licensed practical nurse, or shift manager, you will assist with vital patient care tasks, ensuring a safe and supportive environment for all patients.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities
Education
High school diploma or GED is preferred.
Experience
At least one year of experience as a Certified Nursing Assistant (CNA) is preferred.
Certification and Training
If uncertified or with less than one year of experience, candidates must complete a specialized Patient Care Assistant training program. American Heart Association Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within the first 90 days of employment; training is provided.
Mental and Physical Requirements
This role requires significant mental focus and physical activity including lifting up to 35 pounds, standing, walking, bending, and other movements necessary to assist patients safely.
Working Conditions
Frequent exposure to infectious and communicable diseases through blood and bodily fluids is expected. Occasional interactions with challenging individuals may occur.
