Job description

New Haven Center for Nursing and Rehabilitation -

This is a part time position in our Dietary Department as a Cook.

  • The rate of pay is $19.50 per hour.

Please walk-in to our facility any day, Monday through Friday between the hours of 12 PM and 2 : 30PM. We are located at  181 Clifton St., New Haven, CT 06513 .

Duties Include :

  • preparation, cooking, and service of all planned meals
  • managing meal / tray line service
  • general cleaning kitchen schedules
  • compliance with resident Diet Orders
  • open communication with RDs

    • Requirements :

  • Certification in healthcare cooking (ServSafe)
  • Minimum 2 years of experience in large-scale cooking (preferred)
  • Strong knowledge of large scale & therapeutic food prep
  • Must be able to do some physical work
  • Strong leadership skills and a team player
  • High School Diploma or Equivalent
  • Excellent customer service & communication skills
