Madden Industrial Craftsmen is seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Assistant Property Manager / Leasing to join our team. In this role, you will support the Property Manager in overseeing the daily operations of our residential properties. The ideal candidate will possess strong administrative skills, knowledge of Fair Housing regulations, and experience with property management software such as Yardi, OneSite and CMMS. Your ability to manage conflicts and maintain positive tenant relations will be essential for success in this position.

Duties

Assist in managing property operations, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations including LIHTC and Fair Housing.

Handle administrative tasks such as data entry, maintaining tenant records, and preparing reports.

Coordinate property maintenance requests and ensure timely resolution of issues.

Support the leasing process by conducting property tours, processing applications, and preparing lease agreements.

Communicate effectively with tenants regarding their inquiries and concerns, fostering a positive community atmosphere.

Negotiate service contracts with vendors and suppliers to ensure quality service at competitive rates.

Utilize property management software (OneSite) for tracking rent payments, maintenance requests, and tenant communications.

Assist in the implementation of marketing strategies to attract new tenants.

Qualifications

Previous experience in property management or a related field is preferred.

Strong understanding of LIHTC regulations and Fair Housing laws.

Proficiency in administrative tasks with excellent data entry skills.

Familiarity with CMMS (Computerized Maintenance Management Systems) is a plus.

Exceptional conflict management skills to handle tenant disputes professionally.

Ability to work collaboratively within a team environment while also being self-motivated.

Strong organizational skills with attention to detail to manage multiple tasks effectively.

Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
