Grinding Operator

Location : Sun Valley, CA

Pay Rate : $22.88-$27.28hr

Shift : Monday Friday, 2 : 30 pm 10 : 00 am

Essential Duties :

Responsible for the proper set up of the assigned machine using dead centers, live centers, fixtures, Jigs, chucks, etc.

to complete the operation on the work piece.

• Produce micro finishes while grinding steel and or chrome plated internal diameters, outside diameters, and irregular-shaped, difficult-to-hold aircraft components.
• Read and interpret blueprints, engineering specifications and verbal instructions to machine aircraft parts.
• Ensure that all the traceability for the work performed is accurate, complete, and legible.
• Utilize a wide variety of precision measuring equipment in verifying dimensional tolerances required.
• Layout and inspect assigned work pieces as required.
• Help promote a company culture that encourages top performance and high morale.
• Adhere to all the rules, regulations, and safety guidelines.
• Responsibility to work with LEAN Manufacturing principles.
• Performs other duties as required by business needs.

Experience :

• Five (5) to ten (10) years’ experience
• Preferred : Maintenance Repair & Overhaul (MRO) Landing Gear Experience
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.
• Great analytical, critical thinking and problem-solving abilities.
• Superior presentation and negotiation skills.
• Strong adaptability and capacity to work in fast-paced environments.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite.
• Attention to detail and ability to multitask tasks from multiple administrators.
• SAP Knowledge.

Education :

• High School diploma or equivalent. Bachelor's degree preferred.
