Role Overview :
As the Permits and Administration Manager, you will play a pivotal role in facilitating the smooth operation of our projects by managing permit processes, advising clients on permit applications, and ensuring that all administrative tasks are efficiently handled.
This role is crucial in enabling us to maintain our promise of delivering high-quality products to our clients without delay.
Key Responsibilities :
- Lead the processing of permits, including application and research on permit requirements across various jurisdictions.
- Advise clients on permit applications, ensuring a clear understanding of requirements and timelines.
- Liaise with municipalities and local governments to clarify permit requirements and foster positive relationships.
- Produce permit feasibility reports for potential customers, highlighting our commitment to transparency and preparedness.
- Supervise a highly skilled assistant, who is a trained architect, in managing permit applications and related tasks.
- Keep track of lessons learned with different governing agencies and use it for future projects around the same geographical locations.
- Be the leader of all permitting efforts for the projects.
- Assist with handling limited project financials for permitting fees, etc.
- Handle basic administrative duties, including office management, warranty call coordination, and organization of team gatherings and meetings.
- Assist in HR functions such as document management, onboarding of new employees, and supporting the HR department in creating a positive work environment.
Requirements :
- Proven experience in working with permits or within a governmental institution is essential.
- Familiarity with the construction, housing, or real estate sectors, particularly in ADUs or tiny homes, is highly advantageous.
- Excellent organizational and communication skills, capable of managing multiple tasks simultaneously.
- Experience in administrative roles or HR is a plus.
- Must be located in or willing to relocate to Austin, TX, for the hybrid work arrangement.
