Position Overview
We are seeking an experienced and motivated Floor Supervisor to oversee daily club operations and ensure exceptional experiences for our members and their guests. The ideal candidate will lead by example, manage front-of-house staff, and maintain the highest standards of service, hospitality, and operational excellence befitting our exclusive club environment.
Key Responsibilities
Staff Management & Leadership
- Supervise and coordinate front-of-house team including servers, hosts, and support staff
- Conduct pre-shift meetings and communicate daily specials, club events, and operational updates
- Train new employees on service standards, club protocols, and member recognition procedures
- Schedule staff and manage time-off requests to ensure adequate coverage
- Provide ongoing coaching and performance feedback to team members
Member & Guest Experience
Monitor service quality and member satisfaction throughout each shiftHandle member concerns and resolve issues promptly with discretion and professionalismEnsure adherence to club service standards and hospitality protocolsAssist with member and guest reception, seating coordination, and special arrangementsMaintain visual presence throughout club facilities to anticipate member needsUphold club dress code and behavioral standards for all members and guestsEvent Planning & Menu Development
Collaborate with management on food and beverage event ideation and executionAssist in menu curation and seasonal menu development initiativesStay current with hospitality industry trends and recommend innovative service conceptsSupport planning and execution of member events, private dining experiences, and special occasionsCoordinate with culinary team on menu pairings and presentation standardsOperations Management
Open and close club facilities according to established proceduresOversee POS system operations, and end-of-shift reportingMonitor inventory levels for front-of-house supplies and coordinate restockingEnsure compliance with health, safety, and sanitation standardsCoordinate with kitchen staff to manage food timing and special member requestsMaintain confidentiality and discretion regarding member information and activitiesAdministrative Duties
Complete daily operational reports and incident documentationAssist with staff scheduling and labor cost managementParticipate in management meetings and contribute to operational improvementsAssist with member event coordination and special functionsRequired Qualifications
2+ years of supervisory experience in upscale restaurant, hotel, or private club environmentDemonstrated experience in food and beverage event ideation and executionBackground in menu curation and developmentStrong knowledge of current hospitality trends and industry best practicesStrong leadership and communication skills with emphasis on discretion and professionalismKnowledge of POS systems and basic club management technologyAbility to work flexible hours including evenings, weekends, and holidaysFood safety certification (or willingness to obtain)RBS (Responsible Beverage Service) certification or willingness to obtain within 14 days of hireHigh school diploma or equivalent requiredPreferred Qualifications
Associate's degree in hospitality management, culinary arts, or related fieldExperience with staff scheduling softwarePrevious fine dining or high-volume service experiencePrivate club or luxury hospitality backgroundWine knowledge and beverage program experienceExperience managing multiple operational aspects in smaller restaurant environmentsPhysical Requirements
