We are seeking an experienced Head of Risk to build and lead the development, implementation, and oversight of our organization's comprehensive risk function. This role is a subject matter expert position, requiring deep knowledge of financial services regulatory requirements and the unique risks inherent in digital assets. You will own the entire risk framework, ensuring continuous alignment with best practices for safety, soundness, and consumer protection.
Key Responsibilities :
- Design and implement a comprehensive enterprise risk management framework tailored to the risks and regulatory requirements of a USD-backed stablecoin.
- Continuously refine the framework, including governance, risk taxonomy, appetite statements, and reporting to senior management and the Board of Directors.
- Oversee internal policies, procedures, and controls to ensure alignment with evolving regulations and guidance.
- Manage Reserve Safety : Establish policies for reserve asset composition, diversification, duration, and liquidity.
- Conduct stress testing and scenario analysis for redemption runs, market disruptions, and custodial outages.
- Implement real-time monitoring tools and early-warning indicators to prevent and manage deviations from the USD peg.
- Provide second-line oversight for treasury activities, interest-rate exposure, settlement processes, and investment of reserves.
- Lead business continuity planning, disaster recovery, and severe-event tabletop exercises for incidents such as cyberattacks or payment rail failures.
- Ensure proper asset segregation along with integrity and accuracy of internal and third-party data sources.
- Proactively identify opportunities to enhance the effectiveness and efficiency of risk programs through process improvements.
