Job description

Reyes Fleet Management is hiring immediately at our Reyes Coca Cola Bottling facility in Alsip, IL. Seeking a Fleet Diesel Mechanic B to help with repairs and maintenance on trailer / tractor equipment.

Shift : Full-Time l 2nd Shift 2 : 00PM-10 : 30PM Monday - Friday

Pay : $30.08 / HR

CDL Incentive Pay ( Additional $1.00 / per hour with active CDL A license)-Preferred but not required

Position Responsibilities :

The Fleet Technician focuses on the preventative maintenance of the fleet diesel equipment, identifying root causes of basic failures to perform repairs as needed

As the Fleet Technician, you will complete thorough documentation for work orders of repairs and preventative maintenance

You will inspect brake systems to ensure that machines are in proper operating condition and make sure that equipment has required licensing and registration

You will use hand tools and power tools such as screwdrivers and perform routine maintenance such as changing oil, checking batteries, and lubricating equipment and machinery

You will examine and adjust protective guards, loose bolts, and specified safety devices

Other duties as assigned

Required Education and Experience :

High School Diploma or General Education Degree (GED) and 2 plus years of related experience

Ability to frequently lift 50 pounds, occasionally lift 100 pounds

Valid driver’s license and acceptable motor vehicle record in compliance with Department of Transportation regulations to operate applicable company vehicles

Must possess own tools (have minimum tool requirement)

Preferred Education and Experience :

Technical School Certification
