Job Description
A rapidly growing primary care organization is conducting a confidential search for a Medical Receptionist / Care Facilitator to provide front-desk support and patient coordination in a busy clinic setting. This role is ideal for a service-driven professional who enjoys working with patients and ensuring a seamless, compassionate healthcare experience.
Key Responsibilities
Greet, check in, and check out patients while maintaining a warm, professional atmosphere.
Schedule and manage appointments, including follow-ups and specialist referrals.
Verify patient insurance coverage, collect copayments, and accurately update patient contact and emergency information in the electronic medical record (EMR).
Conduct patient outreach such as “love” calls, appointment reminders, and patient satisfaction surveys.
Escort patients to exam rooms and ensure their comfort and well-being before provider visits.
Participate in daily and weekly team huddles to review patient needs and clinic priorities.
Coordinate transportation logistics (e.g., scheduling rides, monitoring deliveries, addressing driver concerns).
Maintain confidentiality of patient information in compliance with HIPAA regulations.
Support clinic operations by assisting with phone calls, emails, document transmission, and other administrative tasks.
Required Qualifications
High school diploma or equivalent.
At least 1 year of experience in a medical clinic, physician office, or healthcare environment.
MediClear Certification (or equivalent healthcare compliance credential) required.
Strong customer service skills and a professional, compassionate demeanor.
Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
Excellent verbal and written communication skills with strong attention to detail.
