ESSENTIAL DUTIES Responsible for accurate and timely payroll processing within payroll systems to ensure proper calculation of employee pay, as required by Federal / state / local agencies. This includes but is not limited to :
- Troubleshooting, testing and participation in meetings concerning changes to the payroll systems. This also includes any special payroll processes, such as Bonus / Incentive or Equity payments.
- Ensure all operational and administrative procedures are efficient and compliant with company controls.
- Responsible for creating, maintaining, and communicating training materials for backup payroll processors.
- Communicates progress to management on any payroll changes / issues, and resolutions.
- Responsible for Acceptance Testing, including documented testing plans for newly released functionality / change within the Payroll Systems. This plan should be completed prior to requesting management’s approval. This also includes any requirements from auditing perspective.
- Prepares and updates various reports and spreadsheets as requested by management.
- Oversees the validation, processing and reporting of payroll information for all frequencies of payroll processing as assigned.
- Responsible for the timely and accurate processing of monthly, quarterly, and annual reporting as related to payroll processing, such as deductions, garnishments, and tax withholdings.
- Ensures timely and accurate documentation of processes pertaining to our vendors.
- Manages the daily vendor relationship with Ceridian, as related to payroll processing.
- Provides direction for process improvements regarding payroll processing.
- Responsible for annual system updates as related to payroll processing.
- Manages year- end processes for payroll processing.
- Serves as subject matter expert for payroll processing systems.
- Initiates proactive communications and share appropriate VOC (Voice of the Customer) to provide input to other departments / plants for policies and procedures, and decision-making.
- Possess an advanced level of overall payroll knowledge as related to all aspects of payroll.
- WORK EXPERIENCE AND QUALIFICATIONS 3-5 years of related experience in payroll preferred Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
- Strong communication and organizational skills.
- Ability to multitask and manage time effectively.

- Ability to handle sensitive information with discretion.
- Bilingual (English / Spanish) Preferred but not required Solid interpersonal skills.
