SUMMARY :
The Account Manager is responsible for growing an established territory and customer base by developing and growing relationships and business within existing accounts. This individual calls on engineers, maintenance, purchasing and others to determine their needs. Working collaboratively with their colleagues, this individual focuses on building strong customer relationships and their profitability to drive both the customer’s and the company’s success.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES :
- Grow territory and revenue by managing and expanding existing accounts.
- Drive profit margin and customer success.
- Conduct business reviews and opportunity pipeline planning.
- Collaborate with internal teams to bring solutions and deliver value.
- Use a consultative approach to recommend add-ons and value-based products to grow business.
- Develop and maintain a pipeline of opportunities within existing accounts to support revenue growth.
- Quote activity, close deals, and track sales metrics.
- Identify, present and document productivity gains and cost savings opportunities to exceed customer’s goals.
- Assist and resolve customer requests and / or problems in a prompt and professional manner.
- May perform replenishment duties for vending machines at their assigned customer Accounts.
- Work closely with suppliers to secure mutual business through joint sales calls.
- Deliver training and demos for new products.
- Report market conditions and competitor insights to leadership.

SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED :
5+ years outside sales experience (preferred)Required : Industrial / MRO / metalworking backgroundStrong business acumen and self-starter mindsetTrack record in customer retention and account expansionProficient in CRM tools and Microsoft Office SuiteAutomated Procurement Systems (e.g. industrial vending) experience preferredExcellent interpersonal, oral and written communication skills to include presenting and negotiating skillsPassionate, Adaptable, Customer Focused and Teamwork orientedStrong sense of urgency and accountabilityValid driver’s license and ability to travelCalm under pressure and team-orientedStrong attention to detail, time management and highly organizedExperienced with project & territory managementMinimum : High school diploma (post-secondary preferred)EMPLOYMENT OPPORTUNITY INCLUDES :
