Select Events Basketball Assistant Regional Director
Select Events Basketball is a girls club basketball event operator in charge of running and managing more than 30 events / tournaments throughout the calendar year. Select Events is scheduled to run a combination of tournaments leagues showcases and clinics in more than 10 states spanning multiple regions across the country for the year of 2024. In addition to running its own premier independent league called the Select 40 Select Events Basketball is also in partnership with multiple exclusive brands most notably the Girls Under Armour Association club circuit. Job Description : The assistant Regional Director will work under the guidance of the Regional Director to help coordinate / plan events and tournaments on a weekly basis. Assistant Regional Directors will have a wide range of responsibilities including but not limited to scheduling operations / logistics marketing pricing strategy customer relations management of part time staff and many other tasks and responsibilities. Duties Include : Responsible for all communication / selling of events and tournaments to major customers (programs and club directors) Work directly with Select Events leadership team on market strategy including but not limited to setting season schedules and projecting facility needs In charge of registering and collecting payments from our numerous customers on a weekly basis Regular weekend travel required while acting as a Site / Tournament Director at events throughout year Help manage event venue / facility setup and breakdown each week Assist with all daily staff operations and help input all logistical data necessary for pre and post event function Manage part-time staff of 2-3 interns throughout the year Drive revenue growth through building / maintaining strong customer relationships Communicate effectively with multiple departments (marketing operations accounting human resources) for any event or regional needs Desired Characteristics : Major in Sport Management Business Marketing or a related field A minimum of 2-3 years of professional experience in a full-time capacity Preferred background in sales or customer relationship management Ability to be a leader in office setting and communicate effectively with multiple people across departments Ability to work in a fast-paced and demanding environment Excellent organization and interpersonal skills Ability to multi-task and work on multiple projects simultaneously Ability to work independently and as part of a team Prior event management experience Exceptional customer service skills Able to work extended hours including nights and weekends Willing to travel frequently to various locations within the continental United States
