About The Position

Experience : Minimum of 1 year of Medical Surgical with telemetry experience or progressive care experience

License : Current RN License

Certifications : BLS, ACLS, NIHSS

Must-Have :

• Cardiac and hemodynamic monitoring skills
• Cardiac strip and rhythm interpretation
• Experience with arterial lines and titration of drips
• Non-invasive ventilator care (BiPAP / CPAP) experience
• Familiarity with vascular lines and chest tubes or drains
• Post-procedure site care experience

Description :

We are seeking an experienced RN for the Surgical Intensive Care Unit.

The unit has an average daily census of 4 patients.

The clinical environment involves continuous monitoring of cardiac, respiratory, hemodynamic, and neurologic status.

Common patient types include those with NSTEMI, post-STEMI, heart failure, and post-stroke conditions.

Patients may also include general, vascular, or immediate thoracic surgical patients requiring ongoing cardiac or respiratory support.

The patient-to-nurse ratio ranges from 1 : 3 to 1 : 4, depending on interventions.

Certified Nursing Assistants are available to support the team.

Additional support comes from a Rapid Response Team and Respiratory Therapists available 24 / 7.

RNs are responsible for continuous cardiac monitoring and rhythm interpretation.

Telemetry Technicians serve as a resource for rhythm analysis.

The unit utilizes advanced technology and equipment, including an EMR system and various monitoring devices.

We are looking for teamwork-oriented individuals who emphasize a positive, collaborative unit culture.
