Staff ML Research Scientist

A company is looking for a Staff Machine Learning Research Scientist (Clinical).

Key Responsibilities

Lead high-impact ML research projects focused on clinical NLP and reasoning systems

Define the technical direction of research initiatives and apply state-of-the-art models to radiology workflows

Collaborate with radiologists and clinical experts to enhance diagnostic reasoning and reporting accuracy

Required Qualifications

MS or PhD in Computer Science, Electrical Engineering, Computational Linguistics, Biomedical Informatics, or related field

6+ years of applied ML research experience in healthcare or academia

Proven experience building NLP or ML systems for clinical documentation or biomedical applications

Demonstrated fluency with medical terminology and clinical reasoning

Deep expertise in NLP and modern deep learning architectures, particularly transformers and large language models
