ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS
Physical Requirements: Must be able to work in a fast-paced environment. Must be physically able to operate cooking and kitchen equipment. Must be able to exert up to 25 pounds of force occasionally and assist with lifting boxes up to fifty pounds. Carts are used to transport heavy cases of food. Physical demand requirements are for medium work. Must be able to perform basic cleaning operation (sweeping, moping, etc.).
Interpersonal Communication: Requires the ability to speak and/or signal people to convey or exchange information.
Language Ability: Requires the ability to read simple forms and recipes.
Intelligence: Requires the ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written or oral form.
Verbal Aptitude: Must be able to communicate efficiently in Standard English.
Numerical Aptitude: Requires the ability to add, subtract, divide and multiply.
Motor Coordination: Requires the ability to coordinate hands and eyes rapidly and accurately in using kitchen utensils and appliances.
Interpersonal Temperament: Requires the ability to deal with people beyond giving and receiving instructions. Must be adaptable to performing under average levels of stress.
Must adhere to USDA (federal), NCDPI (State) and CCS (local) child nutrition guidelines.

Must adhere to Catawba County Schools Board Policies and the School Nutrition Dress Code and personal hygiene requirements.
