JOB SUMMARY
The Warehouse Associate processes all orders and assists with inventory collection. Must be able to perform all warehouse and receiving functions as directed by Supervisor and Manager as needed.
PRIMARY FUNCTIONS
- Perform daily routine inspections of all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT’s.)
- Perform operator level maintenance on all Powered Industrial Trucks (PIT’s.)
- Utilize bar code scanners to process inbound and outbound orders.
- Read, understand and follow all standard operating procedures to complete all tasks in a safe and timely manner.
- Accurate document control and filing, manual and electronic
- Assist in the set-up, updating and reconciliation of bill of materials to complete internal and external requirements.
- Reads and utilizes prints to complete work orders.
- Reads and understands bill of materials.
- Must be able to read and utilize a tape measure.
- Assists in cycle counting and conducts velocity adjustments.
- Assists in processing and outing away of receivables.
- Maintains accurate records of secondary locations and select inventory items.
- Reports any machine malfunctions, shortages in material and defective material to management.
- Assists with reordering supplies and restocks supplies at end of shift.
- Follows all safety rules and quality standards including all company policies and procedures.
- Performs job assignments in a safe and productive manner while maintaining high quality levels.
- Adheres to standardized work practices in a continuous improvement environment.
- Keeps work areas clean and organized while taking care of all equipment and facilities.
- Other duties as assigned.
SKILLS & QUALIFICATIONS
High school diploma or GED equivalentMinimum of two (2) years warehousing experienceExperience with ERP systemsWorking knowledge of Microsoft Office, Word, Excel and OutlookMust be able to work in a fast-paced high volume production environment under tight time constraints.Must possess an understanding of production procedures.Must possess and understanding of the receiving process.Must adhere to health and safety regulations (consistent use of P.P.E)High level of attention to detailMust have excellent time management skills and work ethic.Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including verbal and written.Ability to work independently and as a team member.PREFERRED SKILLS
1+ years of college2+ years of Warehouse experience2+ years Forklift experience2+ years Reach Truck experienceTraining / experience reading Auto CAD drawings.Training / experience with warehouse software systems.Experience with bar code scannersExperience in Cycle CountingExperience with counting scalesESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS / PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS
