TITLE : Fleet Maintenance Supervisor

REPORTS TO : Lead Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor

PURPOSE : Under direction of the Lead Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor, the Maintenance Supervisor plans, organizes and supervises maintenance and repair of WeGo fixed route and paratransit buses and other vehicles and equipment in an assigned location and shift; performs quality control checks to ensure the safety and reliability of assigned buses and vehicles. The Maintenance Supervisor provides direct supervision and management of the Mechanics, Mechanic Specialist, A Repairmen, General Helpers and Laborers.

• Skill in working with a variety of individuals from diverse backgrounds
• Skill in using software programs including fare collection software, word processing, spreadsheet, database and email.
• Ability to perform multiple assignments in a fast-paced environment
• Ability to Read schedules, maps, route guides, detour sheets, etc. and interpret information
• Understanding and carrying out detailed written or verbal instructions
• Solve problems
• Speak clearly and distinctly
• Work with little supervision
• Perform repetitive work
• Practice good customer service skills (Internal and External Customers)
• Meet required deadlines
• Ability to work any schedule, including evenings and weekends on a regular schedule, and work overtime as needed
• Respond to emergency situations (such as reporting to work early / staying late due to bad weather)
• Maintains effective working relationship with all levels of employees
• Maintain confidentiality
