The Senior Manager of Workforce Planning plays a pivotal role in ensuring Lumen's operational readiness and strategic alignment across its global initiatives. This leader is responsible for developing and maintaining the enterprise-wide Capacity Model, overseeing requisition lifecycle management, and driving strategic workforce initiatives for the Strategic Operations & Transformation team and all Operations, including strategic locations optimization and procurement partnerships. The role requires a blend of analytical rigor, cross-functional collaboration, and strategic foresight to support long-term talent and operational planning. Collaboration with project managers, business leaders, finance, and human resources will be required to identify and address the talent needs and gaps for upcoming priorities. This role is a key partner within the Strategic Operations & Transformation team, as well as across all Enterprise Operations.
The main responsibilities include : leading cross-functional sessions to validate model assumptions and align outputs with leadership expectations, establishing workforce management metrics and trends to monitor and analyze, managing the end-to-end resource request process, supporting and managing workforce planning initiatives, establishing and maintaining effective communication and relationships with internal and external stakeholders, and ensuring compliance with Lumen's policies, procedures, and standards.
What we look for in a candidate includes : a bachelor's degree in business, human resources, or related field, at least five years of experience in workforce management, strong knowledge and skills in workforce management tools, excellent communication, collaboration, and interpersonal skills, proven ability to lead cross-functional initiatives, strong leadership, coaching, and people management skills, and passion for Lumen's mission, vision, and values.
Compensation : This information reflects the anticipated base salary range for this position based on current national data. Minimums and maximums may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience and other relevant factors.
