We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cybersecurity Infrastructure Specialist to join our team at the Huntsville office.
Primary Responsibilities :
- Act as a liaison and technical representative between program leadership and corporate cybersecurity stakeholders.
- Analyze cybersecurity requirements and effectively communicate their implications to stakeholders.
- Collaborate with stakeholders to implement cybersecurity standards and best practices.
- Research security trends and provide recommendations to mitigate potential risks.
- Design, implement, and maintain secure development environments that support program functions.
- Coordinate technical tasks to ensure compliance with security protocols.
- Create and manage documentation related to cybersecurity policies, procedures, and compliance evidence.
- Perform system administration duties, including user access management, software installations, system monitoring, and vulnerability remediation.
- Respond to and help mitigate security incidents and threats.
- Offer technical support for cybersecurity requirements across various programs.
Basic Qualifications :
Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or an equivalent technical field plus 1-4 years of relevant experience.Must be a resident of north Alabama or willing to relocate.Fundamental understanding of network architecture, including firewalls, IP configuration, and network diagrams.Basic knowledge of network protocols such as SSH, HTTP / S, TCP / IP, DHCP, DNS, RDP, and VPN.Experience with Windows and Linux operating systems, including installation, access management, and basic scripting.Understanding of security tools, including logging / monitoring, antivirus software, encryption, and intrusion detection systems.Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.Proficient in MS365 tools (Word, PowerPoint, Excel, SharePoint).Able to work across multiple teams and manage several tasks simultaneously.Preferred Qualifications :
Active TS / SCI, TS, or Secret security clearance.Hands-on experience with system administration and security tools such as CrowdStrike, Splunk, or Nessus.Familiarity with security vulnerability mailing lists and standards (CVE, CISA, OWASP, NIST NVD).Knowledge of security protocols like TLS / SSL, Kerberos, and LDAP.Understanding of relevant cybersecurity standards (NIST 800-171, NIST 800-53, RMF, CMMC).Possession of certifications such as CompTIA Cybersecurity Analyst (CompTIA CySA+) or Certified Information Systems Security Professional (CISSP).Experience with cybersecurity benchmarks and best practices (CIS, DISA STIGs).Ability to work in software development, DevSecOps, or software testing environments.Current Secret or Top Secret clearance is advantageous.Security Clearance Qualifications :
Must be a U.S. Citizen capable of obtaining and maintaining a Secret Security Clearance.
